Mr. Chua was born in 1942 in Klang during the time of the Japanese Occupation. Naturally, conditions of life were very challenging during that time. He came from large family of 15 brothers and sisters.

On the advice of his father, he was prompted to venture out on his own to work. With the blessing of his family, he headed due to east from his hometown of Klang and came to Kuantan in 1965. Here, he was able to land a job as site coordinator in housing development company.
He was very focused on knowing the trade and he picked up the skills of the construction and housing development business. Inevitably, he made his mark on his bosses, his colleagues, his business associates and suppliers as someone with integrity, honest and dependable. They found him to be quiet but willing to listen and learn earnestly.
After more than five years, he realized he was ready to venture on his own steam. He left confident of his abilities. He had some savings from his hard work, some valuable contacts and treasured friends, a good name in the trade, and the security of a backup from a bank. He used these to start his own business.
